Just over a month for me, this really is becoming an expensive habit...but have just wanted to go back since I came home last time.

As others have said, looking forward to the pics!

yeah, though you would have hoped their employers and clients would identify that language is a critical skill for writing. Perhaps that's where the government should put their focus 😄

Aside from that, the people I've come across at work who have frankly terrible English have typically been highly skilled at what was actually important, their job. One played a key part in keeping a company alive, so that their colleagues can go home and vote for fascists and their appeasers.

also, to the original point, the most annoying thing is that once they have been let to get on with building it, they actually aren't that slow, over here near the line the progress is now very visible. Only that it should have been started long before I moved to the UK, not to mind the midlands

here here, also no one points out that the strip of land they have dug is significantly narrower than if they built a new motorway, and well something needs to be built unless we just abandon all of the UK north of Watford. Also obligatory "and finish it off to Manchester and Leeds"

One of the best solo displays I've seen was an Irish PC-9 at the one Shannon Airport Airshow this century! They do put on a surprisingly good show

I can't imagine what 15+ years of it is like, when I barely lasted 1.5. But I would probably be saying something different if I was in a "normal" job that sucked. I think I just figured out early on that I can't handle too much overlap of hobby and work.

Funnily enough on a track visit last week, a trackside collegue asked me if I would ever want to be in a trackside role, and was slighly surprised when I said absolutely not!

since leaving my job where I was "doing what I loved" (running an endurance racing team and motorsport design team) to now being a desk jockey that spends as much time doing paperwork as designing, I am both much happier and paradoxidly, have the time to race for myself, for fun.

yeah, that may be the reason why nice ones are a few £k now

There is a reason EnduroKA racing has the cult following it does, way more fun to race than they have any right to be.

The big screen that was put this year at the Porsche Curves was greatly appreciated by spectators, but also photographers who get interesting effects from the glow of the screen at night. A bit too much fence for my liking but still interesting at least.

Thanks! If it helps it has taken 4 visits to Le Mans to finally get night shots that are anyway decent, and even then it feels like a fluke!

Same, Google photos is terrible for reminding, especially seeing "1 Year ago" compliations it puts together

The catch will be that they never implement any good ideas that come out of this consultation, banishing then to be forever repeated in every following consultation until the end of time

It seemed the switch that reduces everyone's driving IQ by 50% was flicked last week. Only passed one crash on my 15min commute today!
