For July 4th, I'm all in black, mourning the passing of democracy. My similarly-dressed friends and I will be gathering to share our fond memories of the deceased (although eventually we are hoping to foster a rebirth).

I asked ChatGPT for the equivalent of the Ten Commandments, incorporating principles from many major religions, including Native American beliefs, Hindu, Islam Buddhism, and Zoroastrianism, suitable for posting in a classroom. @govabbott.bsky.social I think this would pass legal review.

It was easy to miss @washingtonpost.com coverage of the huge "No Kings" demonstrations yesterday. Far down on the front page with miniscule headline. This was an Earth-shaking event, with Trump's media-suppression effectively reducing it to a detail. Shame on my home-town newspaper!

Chuck Edwards, GOP Congressman from NC 11th, supports Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" which denies health care to his constituents. That's why I am demonstrating in front of the MacDonald's he owns. He touts "constituent relations," but his vote will kill, maim, or hurt thousands of his constituents.
