....still not great, when you factor it into a grocery budget. I try to make meals that are multiple nights or that I can freeze for later. Chili, spaghetti sauce, lasagna, soups, stews. I love using my crockpot in the fall and winter bc of that.

But with a 107% tariff on Italy, I suspect store brand pasta will get expensive also. I buy Walmart and Food Lion brand pasta and pasta sauce. $0.98 for their 16oz. Sauces have gone up. Used to be able to get a can of Hunts for $1 on sale now $1.50+. Or the store brand, ~$1.60, not terrible, but....

Ok. I mean yes, definitely different kinds, but still $54 for 2.26lb? Ground beef is up, chicken is up, pork is up. Eggs, not as bad, depending on where you go, Food Lion has a dozen large white for $2.19 and 2.5 dozen for $4.69.

Beef has gone up a lot. $37 for less than 2 pounds of steak. At Walmart. In Raleigh.

And then he walked that promise back and literally said he could not.
