That is exactly what I was thinking when I posted that.
Old rock fans are among the worst music fans when it comes to gatekeeping and dismissing new bands. As it has always been, there are new bands that are average or worse, but there are quite a few that are really good and don't need to move any "cultural needle." Just enjoy the music.
