2/2 I couldn’t stop: the world(s) created inhabited me. And as a copyeditor I’ve seen everything; plots don’t surprise me. This book? I didn’t see it coming. I kept thinking analytically that other things were going on in the plot(s). I was delightfully wrong. @nnedi.bsky.social — thank you.

1/2 I have covid. Catching up on reading ARCs & started with @nnedi.bsky.social DEATH OF THE AUTHOR. I’ve been a copyeditor for all the major (& some minor) houses for almost 40 years. This is the best I’ve read in decades. I was consumed by it. I was reading almost nonstop for 2 days (covid fevers)

It’s covid. With added fun I already have POTS. Spent last night & day in agony with a headache worse than any migraine I’ve ever had & a fever that topped out at 104.1 To those about to say “you should have gone to the ED” remember the headache (which was also light sensitive). Now confined 5 days.
