The threat of severe storms across the state is still present. While central and Western NC remains the same the Eastern part of the state has been upgraded overnight from a slight risk to an enhanced risk of severe weather. These storms will impact the state from the morning through the afternoon hours. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible with heavy burst of rain and a stray tornado cannot be ruled out. It is important to stay aware of the impacts it may have on your AM and PM travels as the front moves across our state!
