(2/2) Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will open to assist survivors and accommodations are also available, as well, from assistant listening devices, ASL interpreting, mobility aids, etc.

3/3 Share the *accessible* slide deck or PDF with attendees. Be mindful of content in the Zoom Chat. That can sometimes interfere with those using text-to-speech screen reading tech. NCCSD is supported by a Dept of Ed grant (fingers crossed that will continue!)

2/3 2) Hire real time captioner. Search for local companies using CART or Captioning agency. In a pinch have Zoom host enable auto captioning. It's a lot better than previously but not perfect. 3) Verbally describe any images or graphics displayed in the meeting.

We're nonpartisan so we'd give the same advice to the GOP. Access in Zoom is so easy to set. 1) Contact an ASL Interpreting agency at least 2 weeks in advance & hire interpreters for the meeting. Contact the RID if you don't know of an ASL agency rid.org 1/3
