No one has the authority or political capital to address this issue. Part of the problem is IFAB and most certainly PGMOL. The rules are constantly changed to address the previously poorly written ones. I would scrap VAR entirely except for semi-automated offsides, & goal line tech.

I don’t know the details of the act. But at its core, a stable coin is just a digital money market fund. For the unbanked and others without access to financial services, this could help a lot. Corruption and money laundering always has and always will be a part of our world. Regulation is needed.

That’s a reasonable take and one I had not considered. Still a stretch for me but I concede the point.

I’ve always maintained it is not a Christmas movie by the following standard: if you removed all Christmas elements, does the movie still make sense? If yes, not a Christmas movie. Simply a movie that takes place at Christmas. Miracle on 34th St, for example, doesn’t make sense w/o Christmas.

Well if people see as moral equivalents using a racial slur against an opponent during a match (allegedly) and a teammate making an insanely inappropriate joke in a local interview in Uruguay, then they can add this event as a reason to hate spurs. I’m not going to join that party however.

I think reputation damage is completely overblown. Is any club, fan, journo going to care or remember this story by Christmas? I doubt it. People hate or love spurs regardless, seeking a one game reduction is a nothing burger imho.
