Gamer, maker, geek, gardener, retired software developer and sound engineer. She/her. I mostly post pictures of nature, a few cats, and TTRPG things.

All photographs are my own except reposts.
When I unloaded a ton of costumes I made, the local theater was thrilled - but what really made them happy was foundation/accessory pieces. Period corsets, collars, etc.

I have streamed on Twitch exactly once, showing a friend overseas how to make an indoor water well over the course of hours, no audio or anything. I ended up with 20+ viewers.

Toady once said that the largest portion of donations can from people who didn't actually play the game themselves.

If you ever want to give it a try, the free version + LazyNoob Pack is very accessible.

10% of the US population sounds like a legit estimate. In MAGA math.

I've never tried one; the chipmunks got every single one. Let me know how it cooks up!

The world was a much better place when you purchased video games instead of paying for something that can be taken offline at a corporate whim.

Plus the trends and the crappy construction. I really have no excuse for not making my own clothes but I always seem to find one.

Age, too - you wear the same size but your clothes still don't fit. I hate shopping, but I need to do it soon.

There a dozen workable ideas in that thread. Easiest one? James Bond becomes a code name in memorial; there's a new Bond. O

Ultimately any actor is going to age out and you'll have to recast anyway. Might as well be an entirely new Bond.

The only word I have for it is wow.

A doctor once told me this bite that was taking a long time to heal was probably a spider bite. Nonchalantly said it could have just been in my bed. I had to check under the sheets for the longest time. Mostly broke the habit until one day I checked & THERE WAS A SPIDER.

And I rather like spiders.

I regret that I do not have enough faces to palm.

Ugh just leave me alone. All you need to do is have enough employees around that if I actually do need help, I can ask.

Those are gorgeous

YouTube shorts and Tiktok-ish content are just the next evolution.

TTRPGs take time and focus for an extended period, and a lot of people's brains barely work that way anymore. And this isn't a Gen Z issue; I'm middle aged and I am certainly effected to.

Scheduling first, but also attention spans, I believe. All kinds of media have been contracting in time for decades. Movies used to be 2+ hours but now closer to 90 minutes. TV has so many ads you can walk away for minutes before coming back to 7 minutes of story.

Yet somehow I avoided living in a storage unit in Los Angeles.

You are being sarcastic, right? Only 16% of households make over $200k* and the median is under $84k*.

If someone is struggling at $250k (barring cities like NYC and Seattle), they don't have an income problem, they have a spending problem.

TIL terror of being hit with a sandwich while in a ballistic vest is not what they mean by being a snowflake.

Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"I could smell the onions and mustard."
