2024 batch of crab apple jelly. Bright crimson apples, washed, chopped, covered in water, simmered, mashed and put through a jelly bag. Sugar added to liquid, slowly melted and then a rolling boil

It’s Mary Berry’s Christmas chutney time. That’s the home grown garlic, tomatoes, courgettes with supermarket onions and peppers. All chopped up and sizzling in the pan for an hour! Will add sugar, vinegar and spices later

Goulash for tonight, plus freezer meals, one for Dad and small portion for my lunch for tomorrow. Roasted veg, chilli pasta bake for dinner tomorrow and an apple and blackberry crumble. Back to work tomorrow after a lovely week of leave.. 😊

A few yrs ago my favourite crab apple tree was hacked down. I was so sad. It’s slowly recovered. This is the first year it’s produced a crop. I’m sooo happy. ❤️🍎

This left over bread is a nightmare for my waistline 🤣 Thing is a 400g loaf is too small for them for a week and 800g we have this much left. I usually have brown bread for sandwiches etc.

I had left over bread and out of date dark chocolate. Delia’s chocolate bread and butter pudding it is. Imagine the disappointment when I realised it has to go in the fridge for 24-48hrs! Definitely won’t wait 2days 🤣 I think the most unhealthy recipe I have! But delish.

Dog sitting today. She walked in, looked for her small fluffy friend, he wasn’t here and that was that (my elderly dog died a few weeks ago). We found a ball at least.
