It's been 6 months since @nationalfasd.bsky.social published the #FASDNotCommissioned Report which highlighted the lack of progress in meeting NICE QS 204 by NHS Trusts and ICBs across the UK.

We applaud those areas who have taken positive steps since this report.

My students are running a study, asking women what they would find useful in alcohol resources when they're trying to conceive, pregnant, and mums of younger children. There are no restrictions based on how much or how little you drink! Please consider taking part. Thanks!

This Christmas Eve, I'm appreciating people who keep it real in public services- people looking to connect to what's really going on & the realities of people's lives. People who see beyond both the superficial positivity & the chronic cynicism. People looking to make deeper sense of the complexity.

Nelson Mandela rose to leadership as a prominent figure in the fight against apartheid in South Africa. After 27 years of imprisonment, he was released and eventually became the first black president of South Africa in 1994, where he played a crucial role in dismantling apartheid.

Well that’s a first, Brigid & Charlie on the big screen in my home. Well worth a 20min watch. I’ve personally benefitted so much for the #regenerosity of #spacesforlistening over the past 4 years & I’m due some re #nourishment in a few weeks. Looking forward to it.

It is so refreshing to meet and to feel able simply to listen without the need to prove or fix anything, and to speak plainly without rehearsal or fear of judgement.

There are many promising local cases of relational practice emerging between people in local services and the communities they work alongside. So why do government and media persist in grasping for performative targets? Why not understand what really works long-term in communities?

In between places,
without enough dialogue,
feel disconnected.
