Aaron Reichlin-Melnick @reichlinmelnick.bsky.social If you are an H-1B visa holder and you are currently outside the country on vacation or visiting family or whatever, if you don't get back here in the next 24 hours, you may not be allowed back in until this is blocked in court or you or your employer come up with $100,000. Seriously. Aaron Reichlin-Melnick Importantly, the employer files the petition, so the employer would be required to include a $100,000 check with the petition. But the ban on entry appears to also apply to ANYONE with an H-1B currently, and says that petitions must be "supplemented" with a $100,000 fee, so who knows who pays that.
