Thanks for referring to my article. Terminology in English is inconsistent: Sami/Sámi/Saami is the language, people, and adjective. I use Sámi but others use Saami when writing in English. Sápmi refers to the land. The accent identifies the long vowel. Best to be consistent, so Sámi or Saami.
