I figure there may be a time when for Work Purposes it could be useful, especially as perimenopause seems to be making me Even More Weird, but the bigger question for me is whether being Officially Autistic would be useful for me, personally. The answer to that has continued to be “eh ... maybe?”

I found a Grammar Girl post (that cites a small study) positing that it’s a generational shift vs. regional, which supports the media theory. I wonder if the NYT folks who did that giant map-based linguistics project some years ago would have insight.
