Easy-come, easy-go snow: timelapse from camera at #LickingCounty Regional Airport in #Heath, #Ohio, shows how it took some time for wet snow to stick just before sunrise, then after sunrise it melts and dries out quickly. (video silent, repeats once).

Isolated rain squalls developed near and went through #WashingtonDC & #AlexandriaVA this morning on the back edge of a cold front. This is the way they looked from a rooftop in #ArlingtonVA, followed by a simple doppler radar loop showing how small they were (despite the intensity) @metmattritter

A large #dustdevil formed near #SanAntonio under a mainly clear sky and during a hot, dry afternoon (as is when most dust devils form). Very annoying in the middle of soccer. As large as it was, the dust devil dissipated quickly.

A large #dustdevil formed near #SanAntonio under a mainly clear sky and during a hot, dry afternoon (as is when most dust devils form). Very annoying in the middle of soccer. As large as it was, the dust devil dissipated quickly.

This very bright but shallow #rainbow was spotted on Tuesday near #Yakima #Washington, and there was a faint secondary, also. We don't know if it was sunrise or sunset, but note that the sun was very low in the sky and was behind the video taker.

#Snow in #Mexico (#NewYork state)! Youngster sleds off the roof! The town located in prime Lake Effect Snow territory north of Syracuse has received more than 90" this month. Video in real time then slowed down. Luckily, not a very gnarly run.

First serious post on this platform is this sun pillar this morning in Hilton, NY. [Credit: Denise Duffy] This phenomenon happens when the sun is below the horizon and the direct light reflects off perfectly aligned ice crystals acting like itty bitty little mirrors.
