Yep!! Chirodectes maculatus is a rare and poorly known species of box jellyfish discovered near Australia. It’s also the only known specimen that has been observed without causing harm to researchers

However, their interactions are not a general endorsement for the public to touch sharks. Their work is focused on education, conservation, & dispelling myths about sharks, but even they acknowledge the risks. They know respect/proper technique, & understanding shark behavior before any interaction.

Ocean Ramsey and her team are experienced marine conservationists, researchers, and professional divers who interact with sharks under controlled conditions. They have extensive knowledge of shark behavior and body language, allowing them to safely engage with certain species, like great whites.
