Great photo! I like to draw the bees in my garden

Yes indeed. They were inspired by Dutch & Flemish 17thC Still-life paintings, in particular by Jan Van Kessel. Some were so small I thought I would bring them to life. The female is inspired by Pre-Raphaelite artist John Everett Millais’s ‘The Bridesmaid’ 1851, but here she wears her Covid mask

This was commissioned by the Fitzwilliam museum in Cambridge Uk as part of a group quilt to celebrate works in the collection during the Pandemic. Think I might create new work based on other artworks. Any thoughts?

Recently completed this mixed media collagraph. I have called it Hidden Jewels to bring to our attention the wonders below the sea and a reminder that if we do not look after our ‘sealife’ there will be no ‘life’ left in the ‘sea’.

This reminds me of the little cat sculpture I saw when I visited Monet’s house and gardens in Giverney.

Love these drawings and insects! I once created a scarab beetle in fabric with moveable wings

Totally agree. Adore foxes and so created a little sculpture of my furry friend that visits every night. I do not feed him though as he needs to remain wild and free to prevent being caught.

Such a fantastic photo!
Reflections are great aren’t they. I did a painting for my brother of the bridges in Newcastle Upon Tyne, attempting to capture the reflections in the water.
