I just picked this up for inspiration in the genre and setting, and I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT. Incredible writing, perfectly efficient gameplay. Extremely enjoyable experience!

For context, I'm struggling a bit right now on developing a method for plotting and drafting that works for me, and I keep procrastinating and just diving back into research because it's more fun and less anxiety...

But this makes me feel like the process could be stimulating instead of droll

To vote for Trump has always been a stupid, reckless, childish act. To go further and try to justify that decision has always been delusional. To cast doubt on the opposing side has been deceitful, to ignore the consequences has been inane, and to champion Capitalism is evil.

If those are the two branches from which both sides of our political spectrum sprout—one from supercilious moralism and the other from petulant insecurity; one being litigious and pedantic and the other seditious and egocentric—how could any ADULT see them with equal validity?

When I say it's been obvious, it's not from a place of gloating. It's not a false sense of intellectual superiority; it's a true sense of being learned.

I don't have to be told he's evil and represents what's evil in the world. I'm 35. All aspects of my life and education deal with the stories humans have told each other since the beginning. I've read from every epoch of history. I know there is almost as much truth in fiction as there is in record.

In this past decade, it was proselytized to me that ⅓ of my fellow Americans directly chose Donald Trump as the one to ameliorate the negative effects of late stage capitalism, that he was a demi-god of virtue; that he would MAGA, but also drain the swamp. But to challenge any of it was treasonous.

I was told that the worst thing to be was 'woke,' but not that the best thing to be was 'unconscious.'

I discovered that there is a fundamental difference in how Rt-wing and Leftist people view the world, and I decided that I find one of those ways to be antisocial and invalid.

I have decided that when people refer to "reality" they are not able or interested in talking about objectivity.

I have been told "that's just how it is" about many structural norms that began no sooner than 2016.

I was assured that the DNC was the opposition party.

I have suffered under Capitalism, and I have found that being open and honest about this ostracizes me from both oppressor and oppressed groups.

I have learned that hard work and striving to improve my critical analysis skills do not translate to any practical benefit.

I developed a clinical mental disorder based around the discrepancy between my place as an educator and the expectations for me from the groups of people and administrators who held authority/agency over me.

I have been told to trade my sense of right and wrong in favor of populist propaganda.

Held fast by the anchor that is the obvious certainty that Trump was no 'fix' for the political issues we faced, I lost faith in the two generations above mine to be rational and a source of pragmatic wisdom.

I learned about the existence of Accelerationist and Effective Altruist ideologies.
