It is just a mind boggling experience to finally discover yourself and embrace yourself after so many years, and you get to do it with the backdrop of all of this in real time... like I'm amazed I've been able to keep my head above water most days.

My life will be directly impacted by this bill in so many ways. My healthcare, my job, the cost of living... and the looming threat of further damage done to my communities beyond what this bill does.

I am especially grateful to live in Portland, surrounded by so many fellow trans folks. Portland allows so many of us to be our authentic selves every day. Marching in the parade at Pride two years ago is still one of the best moments of my life. Happy to call this wonderful city home. ❤️
