And the sad truth about GenAI in general is that there's practically no safe artistic space left at this point, so it doesn't even make sense to migrate from one site to another in a panic. Now we just have to fight it and not let it stifle us.

This bubble won't float around forever! Since they got rid of the app, engagement has dropped so much it's insane! Word needs to spread beyond Deviantart itself for something to PERHAPS change!

(I counted like five buttons on the entire site that redirect to DreamUP, and I'm not even joking... Talk about desperation.) How long will the team be able to ignore what the community (on a community-oriented site that Deviantart is!) is saying to them?

I can't believe it was easier for them to get rid of the mobile app to save money (because they were too lazy to update it since 2022 btw) than to get rid of this whole DreamUP thing, which anyone with a shred of common sense and an IQ higher than a stool doesn't want!

(About 40%, if not even 50%, of users use mobile devices to access it.) And I say this as someone who primarily uses Deviantart on a laptop, but I used the mobile app to browse art and status updates because it was more convenient.
