It’s the end of semester where I am waiting for the final set of papers and exams to grade still, so enjoying the chance to bake with a little free time. Today I made cinnamon rolls for the first time, and it was fun and easier than I thought it would be, and my house smells amazing. 🎉

One of the small things bringing me joy is this delightful “doissant” (donut croissant) from a local spot. The February special is strawberries and cream and it might be their best one yet!

Was worried my 16.5 year old cat was sick, but her bloodwork and tests all came back perfect, so actually she is totally healthy and just being a jerk, which also checks out.

Got to visit MHK for a weekend to celebrate the debate team for a reunion, and you better believe I got as much Radina’s bakehouse as I could. Including bringing some back to have this week, as well as this delightful giant new mug I was gifted!

This is the one I picked up from my Indian grocery, but it looks like there are recipes to make your own, too. I first used it to make some Indian fried chicken, it is has a good spice kick.

My favorite part of winter break is feeling like I have more time to cook and bake. Last few days I’ve been addicted to making brekkie sandwiches. This one has some dry garlic chutney on the fried egg and avocado and was perfection. 🙌🏻

Recently added these little pics of the pets to my desk at work, and I feel like if you’ve met these three that I perfectly captured their essence in each photo. And yes, that is a cat trap. Don’t ever try to touch the belly.
