a fic except that reads: "Aren't you scared all the time?" he asks Jason. It's late—or early, really—and the Batcave has only just cleared out. Dick has been hiding in the support beams that reinforce the cave ceiling, making sure everyone came back okay and maybe snooping to see if there's anything about Zucco that they're not telling him. Nothing new on that front, and everyone made it back. Dick was just waiting a few minutes to make sure he didn't cross anyone's path sneaking back to his room when Jason came slinking back down the stairs. He's limping, but he wasn't ten-or-so minutes ago when he left. He moves towards the medbay, careful to avoid all the cameras in his path, and disappears through the door. Dick should leave. He doesn't want anyone to know he waits up for them, or that he listens in on their conversations. But Jason could be hurt, and Dick just can't find it in himself to walk away.
