Phew, managed to overcome my @shortboxcomicsfair.bsky.social choice paralysis just in the nick of time!

Thank you for bringing up Goya, because that reminds me the local museum in Antwerp is doing a Goya exhibition starting literally tomorrow I need to check out. Related to comics, they also helped finance a graphic novel on his life earlier this year, which was pretty nice to read

They're really some of the densest and stupidest people on the planet. She has a gun and sword, she uses them, chapter 3 is literally called 'Dorok War' ... what more do you need?!

You'd be remiss if you weren't already following Artyom, but I guess it's never too late to right a wrong.

I mean, just check out some of the cool stuff he did for me. That could be you!

This piece was already beautiful when I first received it in its original form, and @secondatbest.bsky.social now took it to the next level! Look out for its 'follow-up' some time in the not-too-distant future?

Love Urasawa, should really get around to watching the show too. Did, however, find out the French were hoarding all the cool Urasawa books on my trip to Paris this week

The amount of cool merch is pretty crazy, because what do you mean I could own a little Totoro diorama with actual rain?! Btw, you're probably aware of this, but they do have an official European distributor in (still expensive ofc) www.maison-ghibli.com/en/

Very true! 'Luckily', my walls have mostly remained spared as I tell myself I first want a better overview of my main collecting focus, Miyazaki comms, as I tuck them away in a portfolio. Only a handful outside of that, like these two Peach, have made it to the frame in the interim

Terrible video of the title sequence, right after a narrator gives an introduction over tapestries. Looks like the first blu-ray ends around Kai's death, and then another 3 hours for the rest of the manga. Some incredible scenes from skipping through!

It got here pretty fast! Did accidentally buy the blu-ray only version it seems, which means I won't immediately be able to rip it as I only have a DVD one lying around. 🥲Luckily, the PS5 plays the discs just fine so I'll record some clips with my phone while I look around for a good way to rip it

Another rec would be The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store, which is two volumes admittedly, but has beautiful art, some nice messaging and apparently a recent movie I urgently need to see

Woo-hoo, bonus content tailor-made for me! Love all the Miyazaki movies so much I've even set out commissioning artists to have at least one piece for every movie. @jacobgeller.com might recognize the newest addition
