Glad @kunsthalkade.bsky.social exhibits renowned Lebanese-Palestinian artist Mona Hatoum, however it felt a little underwhelming. The urgency and visceral aspects that so typify her oeuvre did not fully come across. Lost opportunity to contextualise her practice amid the ongoing violence in 🇵🇸 🇱🇧.

Excellent show ‘Stitch Witch’ by Dutch-American artist Lara Schnitger at Museum Kranenburgh. Love her ‘Slut Sticks’ that performatively repurpose lingerie and are intended to be sculptural as well as be actively used during protest marches.

Impressive in situ screening at The Hague’s Hofvijver of @margitlukacs.bsky.social & Persijn Broersen’s video Het Hof Van De Leeuw. A fable as opera, a power struggle between different ideologies, all set at the ruinous heart of Dutch politics, Het Binnenhof. Apt and prescient.

Stunning Berlinde De Bruyckere show at Bozar,Bxl. Viscerally serene, solemnly estranging, monstrously creepy and therefore mesmerizing.

Artist Muhannad Shono’s intervention ‘A Forgotten Place’ uses AC condensation to irrigate feral plants found in the industrial area of Al Quoz, Dubai. A modest but important experiment in urban rewilding of what is otherwise a concrete jungle.
