I agree. It makes me think of the ways we talk about community as a place of extraction for upliftment of self. The idea of others supporting the one but not the reciprocity of that support. Or that reciprocity being a fond remembrance like an attaboy for helping me. Instead of an even exchange.

To be radical by definition implies a desire to get to the root of it. What do you think has prevented the formation of true community thus far and how do we combat it? What narratives have to be dismantled? When you close your eyes and think of community who do you see?

It's not impossible to change the fact that we do not know how to live in community but we have to call it like it is in order to do so. How do you define community? How do you contribute to community? What do you need from community? How do you resolve community conflict?

Let's be honest and first state the obvious hurdle: We are not built for community. If anything this election proves that. A good time to have been in community was last Tuesday.
