That was the best part - thanks to you! 😀 Great to speak to Midgley people who 'get it'. So refereshing.

it managed to make an important (& not in your face) point about performative social media life and activism, all wrapped up in occasionally filthy poems and chat that delivered both laughs and lump-in-your-throat moments 👏

Crossing my fingers for you for a Netflix adaptation soon!!

Prepping for the talk, I came across this old article by Midgley from 2001 that dovetails beautifully with my thesis in Ricardo's Dream.

She describes economics as a highly abstract & misleading 'bankers' vision' or 'dream' from which we are slowly waking 🎯

Comment: The bankers' vision is limited

Nice shot. I remember hearing either Clare or Rachael say on a podcast once that Jane Goodall's work was the Neil Armstrong walking on the moon moment for her... in that it revolutionised her/our view of what it meant to be human.

Thank you for featuring my book, Barry! I'm pleased you enjoyed it

Wonderful review, thank you Don! I especially appreciated how you describe 'how
economics bounced back and forth between whole-heartedly embracing Ricardo’s abstract approach and questioning it'.

Disagree. That's just one mode of science. Much of science is progressed through long, patient observation of facts and a disinclination to fit phenomena into neat boxes too soon.

Yay! This is EXCELLENT news. Delighted for you 😀

From his recent, useful post on how economics lost its soul, which is similar to my thinking
