Beginner-friendly Mid-Atlantic native plants 🌱 series #9: native holly, Ilex sp.

Someone told you to plant boxwoods. They're ecological statues, as good as dead air to pollinators and birds. Or you have Euonymus, Nandina, or barberry to replace 😬

Plant an inkberry or winterberry holly instead.
