So Trump doesn't seem to understand how NATO works. There is no account into which members "pay their bills". Each member nation promises to spend x% of their GDP on defense, and there is a mutual defense pact in case someone gets attacked. Members can't "not pay their share". Sigh.

Giving an invited talk at the ACS meeting in New Orleans in March on Native American Science. It will be interesting to see their reaction to it. As a physicist I'm not exactly at home with chemistry researchers, but this is important.

Make no mistake about it. AI is an arms race, as is quantum computing.
And btw, we need to develop a test of an AI becoming sentient.
