They're path-committed at this point IMO. Most people just can't admit that they are/have been wrong unless there are specific personal negative consequences.

I would add that a series of marches that are larger than anything in American history can and should be leveraged, rather than disparaged, by those that seek to encourage alternate forms of organizing.

I mean I think you could argue that the administration is doing that work on its own by fear-mongering about the mythical antifa menace. When cast against what will hopefully be a series of very large, very peaceful, and very "normie" protests....
