Often when a person of substance dies the internet is full of their quotes and wisdom. Or good deeds. So, in the wake of his tragic and unnecessary death, what is it about quoting Charlie Kirk's own words, or highlighting the ideas he so vigorously promoted, that now so upsets his supporters? 🤔

There's a difference between someone who wants a real conversation and someone who just wants to win a debate. You don't have to turn up to every argument you're invited to. Just say your piece and leave it there. Internet trolls hate being ignored, and much like narcissists, they die in a vacuum.

Australia has the Fair Work Act 2009 which says employees can't be unfairly dismissed from their jobs. This protection is a core part of Australian workplace law. USA - look and learn!

When people say musicians, or other artists, should "Stay out of Politics", they miss the point entirely. Politics, speaking truth to power, calling out injustice; these are pretty much the central purposes of art, poetry, music. The "entertainment" aspect is simply the economic distortion of this.

I appreciate not understanding Welcome to Country. That's ignorance; an opportunity for education. It's wilful ignorance, to be "entitled to my opinion" without any curiosity, that's troubling. Not implicit (unknown), but explicit (known) bias. Choosing racism. It can't be called anything else.

I'm not catholic, but can't help but respect this man who tried to lead his church in a more progressive direction. Many say he didn't go far enough. I pray his successor continues his work. RIP Pope Francis: "A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just".
