@washingtonpost.com I know research is tedious and no fun so I figured I’d help by sharing a quick Google search I did about Elon’s “exuberant” speech.

The salute is performed by extending the right arm from the shoulder into the air with a straightened hand. Usually, the person offering the salute would say "Heil Hitler!" Underneath are two news article screen grabs displaying a an image of Elon Musk doing the gesture during the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
