I’m iffy about TTG.
it’s one thing to say “The show wasn’t made for you” but it feels like another to take the design, lineup, and CAST from the original show and then mock fans OF that show for not liking this new one.
If it was supposed to stand apart, why make it resemble to original series?

I’m entering tinfoil hat mode here but what if the MCU Dr. doom… is just a hater? He has superhero fatigue and sees the Multiverse (aka the MCU) as failed experiment and wants to pull the plug. And he’s going to take the kids of powerful or interesting characters to start over?

SO MANY SHOWS from the 2000s have been pretty upfront about being at least INSPIRED by X-files ("case-of-the-week" format procedurals with sci-fi/horror storylines) and yet X-files itself was inspired by Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

Whatever you say email weirdo. Though I feel I should point out that just because a comic adaptation of the movie exists, does not mean you NEEDED to go onto Suede‘s profile to find a random post to reply to. And if you DID need to, your problem is more with Marvel than it is with Linkara.

Because thats how this film series works. Fill the cast to the brim with great actors, even if some of them get stuck with minor roles.
Heck it helps to have big actors in minor roles for the sake of the mystery.

I can see that, but it worked as a silly bit for me.
And to me it felt just the right amount of on the nose for a Rian Johnson flick.
A mix of deep and clever writing, mixed with incredibly unsubtle jokes that still get a laugh from me.

yes and no, he wrote a book that he thought would get him a new audience and make him famous again, and it appears it did make him more popular... but it brought in even MORE people like his preexisting fan base.

funny, for a small role, he was one of the more memorable characters for me. I love the final punchline of where his character ends up.
