Hello, I'm back, I moved !
This is my safe space account, far from the horrors of Twitter.
Here I'll post the same drawings as on my main (@ Experiment1421), but I probably won't be here as much.
#GwainSaga fans are more than welcome to interact, my work is very OC focused though.
1. Eastern lazurite, blue sedimentary stone reminiscent of the flow of waves.
2. Verdant feldspar, derivative of granite, incrusted with microscopic plants.
3. Cubic magnetite, a perfect cube of metal once polished.
4. Stellaris diamond (I'm saving its shine for someone special...)
The thing about stones is you will never find two the same. You try; searching sandy shores, mossy caves, and volcanic peaks, but there is always variation in texture, shape, gradation, and history. What are some of the jewels (literal or not) of your collection?

[Rayne, Novice mage and Librarian at the Forest Library, barn owl]
After the loss of her wing, Rayne turned to the Library for comfort and knowledge, and it soon became her second family. Her magic affinity allowed her to bond with the grimoire Wissen, with which she can conjure spells.

This chap may be blind, blood of bird of prey still runs in him, so beware to anyone that disrespects the Library's rules. For this blind Avian, it's his entire world.

Cercilens, a strong, proud species, once tyrants of the land, now hunted, hated, and despised. After 500 years, only a few tribes survived; born of an absent father and a now dead mother, Akher's identity is so fractured they cannot even see themself as a girl.

The grey roots split open the earth, descending into utter darkness. As I slowly go down, holding on to the rope, I see that the roots split more and more. It's getting hotter, minerals glitter and I cannot help but wonder. Why aim for the skies, when so much beauty lay beneath our feet ?
So you've sold your cow for magic beans. You've dutifully planted and watered the beans, kept the dirt free of weeds and built a fence to keep out the rabbits. It soon becomes apparent these beans will not take you to a land in the clouds. What happens instead?

Spiders ? Ugh, I shudder just to think of such beasts. Bees are too dangerous, these ones don't simply sting, they impale. So I try to get around raising woodlice. One would assume there are no applications, and yet : tractors for plows, meat, its exoskeleton makes for strong armor.
The market for mega-arthropods is strong these days. Giant bees for cartographer mounts, giant millipedes to excavate new sewer tunnels, giant jumping spiders for rodeos. What do you raise at your farm?

A touch of nebula and a smidge of magic.
Even in 12025, why should everything be scientific ?
It's pure color, like the grand vastness of space. Not much in terms of items, save for one crysanthemum, but I've painted space from the great light to the darkest purple depths, beyond the horizon.
On an interplanetary merchant ship, strictly enforced rules and regulations are how a crew survives with ship intact and food properly rationed. Even so, each crewmember is allowed a few grams of paint and personal items for their bunk. What does your cot look like?

I know, I know... I look silly with my hair full of soot and welding glasses. Yes, I know my leather apron for work needs no buttons ! I am here for the simplest thing there is, sturdy, if possible - I'm working on a mechanical contraption you see...

The village buzzes with life when the Button Merchant arrives. Everyone wants to buy a shiny brass button for their son's coming of age; a diamond one for an engagement; an indigo one to complete the rainbow down their shirt. What sort of button do you seek?

Ienke, the Carmine City. Not quite the Capital, but Aina much preferred the buildings of red brick.
Heading out of the courier's guild, her eyes would slide upon the geomancy school, a small bakery, and the philosophy academy.
From the aviaries up high her owl Veyron came to her, mail didn't wait.
In your city the towers never stop rising. New construction is always happening, stacking more units one atop the other like the teetering ice cream scoops of an over-eager child. Whose homes and businesses do you pass through each morning on your way to the ground?

As the sun lays in the navy sky, seemingly frozen at sundown, I walk along the coasts, notebook and quill in hand.
My knapsack clinks of compasses, bottles of ink, charcoal sticks and a hundred different instruments.
Geodesy is no easy task on the howling coasts of the boreal sea !

Some quests are grand, involving a lot of swords and wyrms and magical grandmothers and attracting all sorts of media attention. Other quests are quiet and relatively unnoticed; rewilding a field or mastering the art of sourdough. What quest do you face today?

Something formless and heavy on my back, something I can't quite grasp, can't quite touch.I know it's there, looming over me with an eager eye.
I look back, and there is nothing, and with each breath the load is lighter, and my steps are stronger.Expectations, formless, heavy, intangible.Fascinating.
One deep breath. Hold. Let it out. Another. Each inhale a prayer, every exhale an intention. Today is the start of something new. As you fall into tune with your breath, you feel strength build within. What do you carry with you to face the world this morning?

After so many years watching from the ground, it's high time I clamber up on the stone tiled roofs, the lead lined ceilings of temples and trading halls. Below me now stands the sight of a city of chalk, basalt, orange brick and dull grey stone. Below me arterial streets brimming with vivid life.
You've visited the city before, of course; shopping with your parents, visiting family with your parents. But it's a whole new world now, stepping out from the dragonship gondola onto the aerial platform. An adult, free to choose as you will. What do you do first?

I wipe the blood from my nose - I can’t stand the power of these gemstones and the pollen in the air isn’t helping. Laying one in each nook of my house, I hope that they truly do enjoy mana gems, when the cat’s out and about, the house feels dead these days.
You've been at odds with the house sprites for months—ever since you expressed irritation over the pet hair everywhere and they very helpfully shaved the cat. But you really do need them back, and the cat's recovering well. What do you leave out as peace offering?

I take out a quill, some parchment all while grumbling interiorly, "Now they’ve done it," I say to myself.
And since we’re not supposed to do magic without grimoires, I cast a spell, heat up my coffee, bring it into my hand. Dipping the feather in ink, I try to gather my ideas : "Chapter 1…"
Monday at the office. You slump in your chair, sip your coffee, and open your grimoire to find it's been updated overnight by the coven over at corporate, and now none of the spells work. What do you do with your day, while IT takes the morning to uninstall updates?

Something quite remarkable, something never before seen.
The surveyors, bustling and working they had been.
Maps on the desk, pencils in hand
Lighting a magic fire under a giant balloon
I hope they’ll watch, note and land;
So that I can see the new maps soon.
In the middle of town is a fence. Twice your height, closed wood slats; a square large enough for a house, but no gate or opening. Your parents shrug and ignore it, but one morning you find a loose board and can't help but pry it up and crawl in. What do you find?

Ha ! I've done it !
And all the fools that said it wasn't possible, that rocks are simply rocks - improper for meals.
Tell that to my new alchemical process : naveliation !
Compressed, liquefied, recrystalized and transmuted, I can eat feldspar, chalk, basalt, just about any mineral ! (Tasty)
It seems impossible we made olives palatable, or learned that asp venom boiled, frozen, & fermented makes a passable soy sauce substitute. But it's amazing what happens when unhealthy curiosity meets willingness to eat ANYTHING. What concoction have you discovered?

Notably known for her invention of the lumens dip, which allows metals to emit light, Alwynn often goes to the library to find inspiration for potions and mixes. She may look messy, but underneath the small chaos is a sharp mind.

Astute traveler and assiduous messenger, he likes to head to the Forest Library every once in a while. However ever since a steelfeather killed his mother, he is very cold and mistrustful toward Cleros, as he is afflicted by the ironheart curse.
