Only President Trump could look at a 2x4 from Canada and say “national security threat” a week after (literally) rolling out the red carpet for Putin. Seriously?

Trump says imports of wood products may pose national security threat to U.S. — raising fears in B.C. | CBC News
The prospect of further tariffs on B.C.’s softwood lumber industry in particular — which is already dealing with a high 35 per cent duty imposed by the U.S. — could mean even more mill closures and jo...

Breaking: Don Davies named interim leader for the NDP.

After some incredibly tough losses in the last campaign, excellent decision by the NDP is the right step in the rebuild.

Don & the caucus will be focused & united to pave the way for a new leader.

Happy election day! If you’re on the west coast not only is there still time to vote - but many predict BC will be huge in determining Canada’s next government. Get out there, bring a friend - vote!

And in the northwest - vote for @taylorbachrach 😎

It’s a great day to vote! And an even better day to vote for the great Taylor Bachrach!

Advance voting is happening today and tomorrow. Get out there and let’s send the hardest working MP in BC back to Parliament! #cdnpoli

With less than two weeks to go in the federal campaign’s thinking of all the volunteers and candidates (& especially their families) and wishing them energy & ease over the home stretch.

These things can be hard and stressful. Thank you for strengthening our democracy #cdnpoli

I’m hearing a rumour that the Conservative candidate in Skeena, Ellis Ross, is not showing up at the all-candidates meeting in Terrace this week. Being accountable & showing up for the job interview is the bare minimum.

Brutally tight control of the media, obsession on crowd size, hmm. All sounds so familiar …

If a leader won’t be accountable and take questions from the press I’ve always been confused why the press cover the staged events at all.

Democracy is light.

Canadians are slow to anger. But determined when pushed too far. Our ability to stay united from coast to coast to coast. Our ability to speak to Americans about our pride of home and country - will now be tested.

We didn't pick this fight. But we'll win it. #cdnpoli

I’d been meaning to trim the tree all summer.

Just had to wait until nature did its thing. Better.

Don’t get distracted or fooled Canada.

As a federal politician I watched American governments come after our water for decades. Quietly.

Now it’s just overt. And real. #cdnpoli

A beautifully and brutally cold afternoon on the Nordic trails in Smithers.

There are sounds the snow makes, a blue in the ski and the way air comes into the lungs that only -25 C can do.

I thought Mr Trudeau did a decent job of his speech quitting today (not an easy press conference to hold) until ,,,, he got to his ‘biggest regret’.

The failure to make ‘2015 will be the last federal election conducted under the first-past-the-post voting system". Seriously? #cdnpoli - more to come

Well, that’s one prediction I can put in the ‘Got it Right’ column for 2025.

Hope that second one (spontaneous regenerative hair growth) has a chance.

In amongst the noise and intrigue coming out off Ottawa yesterday came this: a win for the residents on Haida Gwaii!

Congrats to @taylorbachrach.bsky.social and all those who have fought for this tax fairness for more than a generation! #cdnpoli

The one reference in the 3 hour Trump/Rogan podcast that caught my attention- and should yours Canada - was a reference to our water and a “big faucet” that he wants to open up to the States #bcpoli # cdnpoli www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...
When Trump comes calling for our water, Canada must be ready
Contrary to Trump's belief, Canada is not merely a faucet.
