The hardest part about testing an incense composition is, counterintuitively, not trying too hard to smell it. You have to kind of let the fragrance come to you. Before I commit to turning it into incense sticks, I'm using a traditional Chinese method of incense burnin... see complete post
A circular, brass, Chinese-style incense censer with a burning incense seal, incense powder formed via a stencil into a contiguous line of incense that forms an intricate pattern. The seal sits atop white ash specifically made for incense-burning. The censer's brass lid, featuring a cutout resembling an incense seal, is offset atop the censer revealing the seal and ash inside.
