Yesterday I presented my work "Impact of the degrowth master's on students - Stories of human beings who studied degrowth" at the occasion of the degrowth alumni conference 2025, organised by @r-degrowth.bsky.social at @icta-uab.bsky.social in Barcelona.

Great (re)connecting with many alumni!
Those most responsible for the climate crisis are still refusing to lead its solution.
Rich countries fail at phasing out fossil fuels, honouring finance commitments, and applying measures of just transition.

Innovating for systems change is critical. But perhaps even more critical are the ‘containers’ in which such innovation occurs. A report commissioned by @unearthodox.bsky.social and led by the @postgrowth.org offers a roadmap rooted in global lived experiences: unearthodox.org/2025/08/reth...

First time in my life that I cross the Arctic Circle (in Norway).

The Arctic Circle marks the southernmost latitude at which, on the Northern Hemisphere's summer solstice, the Sun does not set.

We live in a world where a few people capture unimaginable wealth while billions are denied access to basic needs.
Such extreme inequality is an effect of capitalism, where production is organized around maximizing & accumulating profit, rather than securing human well-being.
