We believe the problem extends to much more of psychology than only this sub-domain.

Most provocatively, I was recently reading this book & thought the methodological issues (comparing the inference schema phrenology) is fairly on the mark. HOWEVER, I think the inferential and methodological mistakes can be put much more carefully in PhilSci/MetaSci @lakens.bsky.social

The UK economy would collapse without immigration. Universities would close, we would stop innovating, tax revenues would massively reduce and we wouldnt be able to pay for the NHS, state pension and schools. We depend on migrants and should welcome them

In particular, Ive been reflecting on metaphors like "mirror of the nation". What are these sorts of metaphors good for and why should they do so much work in an argument for a system so impactful. -- Definitely leaning towards more direct processes

I've become a @greenparty.org.uk member. They seem to be committed to promoting a positive and alternative vision of Britain 🇬🇧. I also hold Political values that put me in a broadly conservative tradition, yet I think the Greens best represent these values right now. Check them out.

IMO if we could get "post-analytic" and just do Philosophy, then there wouldn't be a need for all of this taxonomy ism-ist-ism. Many people practise Philosophy as simply a series of taxonomic allegiances!
