I host a podcast called Football 301 that’s been described as “…entertaining with a slightly degenerate charm…”

It's always a good day for an elbow drop.

Is Butterbean OK?

Abdul Carter with the crazy fast get-off and gets the instapressure. Nice job by Jordan Love to still make a throw.

fwiw @ftnfantasy.com’s DVOA metric has this year’s Seahawks as the 9th-best team since 1978 through 9 games.

The Seahawks passing attack is explosive. How explosive? They currently have the highest explosive passing rate since at least 2002 and Sam Darnold is tied with Kurt Warner’s 2000 season for the highest yards per attempt by a QB in a season since Norm Van Brocklin in 1954.

Jahmyr Gibbs going for 28 yards on a Lions trap run. These types of runs can get muddy at the second-level, but this was a clean hitter.

New Football 301!

@mattharmon.bsky.social joins me to discuss fatal flaws for current playoff teams.

We hit 6 teams on this show, including whether the Lions have a tendency problem on offense right now (🎥).

Plus, Eagles-Packers MNF recap and reactions to the Daboll firing.

can really see Caleb Williams getting more and more comfortable with operating under center and working over the middle.

progresses here from post to dig and his feet stay calm. With the intermediate defender not causing any hesitation on the throw.

these windback runs have led to some big plays for the Bears this season

Sam Darnold nailing this throw to JSN moving left on a boot. Makes it look easy but that's a pretty tough throw to make!

Rams 13 personnel in 3 play sequence.

PA wheel route to Ferguson w/ great protection (including a double team by the TEs).

A true naked w/ motion at the snap and routes working back (look at the 49ers LBs).

Zone run against two-high (that formation vs. that front) for a TD.

Byron Young (#0) knocks back the TE and gets the stuff on 4th & 1

next 3rd down, Christian Gonzalez again stays sticky on Egbuka and helps force an incompletion.
November 10, 2025 at 6:48 PM
great rep in the slot by Christian Gonzalez on Emeka Egbuka. Helps lead to a coverage sack on 3rd down to end the drive.
