Not yet but I'm expecting it as I use the site more. Some can't handle even the slightest difference in opinions. I like the idea of block lists for scammers etc but knew some would use them to create echo chambers.

...with the other Meta sites. Since using it you can tell it works well, no targeted ads. You can do similar on your phone by only using the web apps and isolating them in their own browser. This way they can't make much from your data and you can use the sites if you need to.

I deleted all Meta apps years ago, they're the worst for targeted ads etc... I use Facebook container from Firefox which stops it getting your data from outside of the site. I don't use the site much anyway but a lot of friends and family are on it so I'm not deleting it fully. It also works...

I deactivated mine the other day and deleted it from my password manager. If I'd have know that Nitter still worked I would've deleted my account ages ago. It's just sports news that I want to view which I can do through Nitter without an account.

Think it will die over time but it's not going to be anytime soon, folk are too addicted to it. You can't even just follow an interest without getting crap pushed at you, think folk will get board eventually and Twitter will just be like Gab (just losers shouting into the void).

Hardware wise Linux is constantly improving daily with every update. With software I can't see Linux ever becoming popular enough for it to change much from what it is now. There's plenty of good native software though but it depends what you need or want.

Ye thinking about it you are more likely to get hardware issues on Linux although most is supported.

Windows 95 wasn't an easy experience for me I messed it up so many times. That's what it is I feel, it's like starting again from scratch only this time maybe harder because of using something else for years.

It goes wrong for some users but for the most part it's I don't see how it's different to learning Windows for the first time. The other month on my laptop I had to fix Windows 11 from powershell. Some have the same kinds of bad experiences when Windows goes wrong, it's just computers for you.

He might be but it will kill the site. I'm hoping it goes full 4chan/Gab. It's getting there. The more normal people that leave the worse it gets, the end result is most people know to ignore it like Gab and 4chan.
