Some dear documentarian pals have a fantastic film premiering this weekend. They are both West Point grads, and they made a film about the army, about sacrifice, and most importantly about love. I saw it last night, and it’s all I’ve been thinking about.
Go see it.

Hoping one of the local independent houses screens “Annie Hall” to honor Diane Keaton and her Academy Award winning work.

Find me someone who didn’t adore Diane Keaton and I’ll show you a liar.
Pitch perfect every single time, with serious versatility. Hilarious, heartbreaking, but with strength and guile. There will never be another.

100 Foot Wave is so beautiful and moving. Yeah it’s about pro surfers, but it’s really about community. It’s about the, at times, absurdist drive for perfection that artists must suffer through. A jaw-dropping knockout. Watch in on whatever the shit HBO calls itself now.

I’m seeing people post about “Share a Bad Guy From the 80’s” but I’d prefer to share a BALD guy from the 80’s.

In the late 80’s-early 90’s, before it made prestige television, and when it needed to fill 24 hours of content everyday, HBO ran Real Genius all the time. Multiple times every week. On a loop.
I watched that movie 100 times before I was 18.
