I have a lot of good memories of that home and my grandmother's gardens around it. My family wished it could have been preserved, but it was not feasible (long, complex story). We just restored several furniture pieces from it including the dining room table Esther used.

My grandfather (Esther's nephew and estate lawyer) encouraged Esther to donate the royalties for Paul Revere and Johnny Tremain to the American Antiquarian Society where she did a lot of her research. I have always appreciated this generosity to support historical preservation and research.
