Day 12 (evening). Nathaniel’s other host parent, Lisa, invited him to the 50th anniversary event of the Kloster, which houses Magdeburg’s art collections. This former monastery is now a museum, and there was a performance in the old sanctuary.

Day 11. Visiting Gedenkstätte Moritzplatz, which commemorates more than 10,000 victims of political persecution, who were imprisoned from 1945 to 1989 during the GDR era.

Day 10. Students spent the day in classes with their host siblings at Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium and then spent the rest of the day with their hosts. Nathaniel went on a bike tour of Magdeburg with Karsten.

Day 8. Back to business after the weekend! How to Build a Morning Show at Gröninger Bad, District Court Visit (with Rachel’s host, Judge Thomas!), and Medical Expert Forum at Otto-von-Guericke University

Day 7. Monday is a holiday and Nathaniel went with his host, Karsten and Little Ludwig, to Leipzig.

Day 6. On Sunday afternoon, Rachel and Nathaniel travel with Rachel’s host, Thomas, to Quedlinburg.

Day 5-6. Students had a long, unstructured weekend with their host families. Chaperone Hudson attended the cathedral on Pentecost Sunday.
