In the end, I know that my legacy is not in the decor left up in my classroom, but rather in the lives and memories of the students I taught. And that, to me, is a blessing.

Today was my last day as a high school teacher. I am reflecting on my time with a lot of gratitude. It's bittersweet. Now off to grad school!

There's the myth of the tortured artist. That mentally ill people are creative geniuses. But I disagree. When you are sick, it's impossible to create. It's not until you are better that you can truly create a masterpiece.

I think marriage is hard the way making art is hard. It takes a lot of effort, skill, and time, but it's joyous to do.
