It was a gorgeous day in the woods. You never know if a perfect fall day will happen, so they are extra treasured.

Here is a beautiful beach in the middle of nowhere. (Gwaii Haanas, Haida Gwaii.
And what happens to it next? The island's landfill cannot handle the amount of debris that floats in.
Cleaning it up isn't enough. We have to stop letting so much plastic get into the ocean in the first place.

I spent 10 days exploring Gwaii Haanas. It was incredible, and I'm not sure how to write about the experience. ❤️

I killed some grass and planted wildflowers. It makes me very happy. One day I'm going to have a whole meadow of wildflowers and it will be glorious.

I'm so excited that we found a sunflower star baby! After the heat dome and wasting disease, these sea stars have been struggling to make a recovery. (It's about two cm across but will grow up to be huge!)
