Visited Ms. Anzilotti's pre-K class and read GOLDY LUCK AND THE THREE PANDAS. How lucky I am to be still reading this book in classrooms 10 years after publication and still connecting with kids in schools 24 years after my first book came out!

SCBWI San Francisco North and East Bay Mendocino County held a casual Meet Up on Dec. 9 for great conversations about craft, finding editors/agents, perseverance and personal journeys to publication. A big THANK YOU to Adina Gllckman for offering her lovely home as a meeting spot.

5 years ago, my dad passed away and we buried him at sea off the Mendocino coast as he had always loved the ocean. This weekend, I met my Mom & sis there to honor his memory. There was a beautiful sunset, smooth as glass waters and no wind. My Dad is smiling down on us 😄
