I've just had oral surgery so my mouth hurts. Richard offered to watch the LotR extended editions with me, even though it breaks his only twice a year rule. I think he's trying to distract me from the pain. And it's working!

I just learned that when people ask you "what are you working on at the moment?" It's just a social nicety and they don't actually want a full on report of every single one of my project's status.

Although I find it hilarious when the Aussies can't understand Guy Montgomery's accent on Spelling Bee, sometimes I'm on their side. It's PETTY not PITY. I wonder if he's hamming the accent up to troll them.

On holiday in Melbourne and it's like going into a parallel universe where things look almost the same, but there are slight differences that are a bit eerie.
Like the cat food Oscar, has exactly the same packaging, but it's called Felix. And BK being Hungry Jacks.

So excited to see Supergrass live on the I should Coco tour this weekend! I think it's cool that they're playing all their hits, giving the audience what they want. Although I wouldn't mind if they threw in a couple of the weirdo b-sides, for those of us who like that sort of thing.

Bought some cold meds from the pharmacy and the guy was like, these ones are slightly cheaper but the pills are huge. Pssh, I thought, can't be that bad. Have you seen the video where they shove a tracking device down an albatross throat? At least it was lubricated first.

I'm convinced that food packaging is designed to be difficult to open without tearing, so that you can't save some for later and end up buying more.
