There are many things I've loved about visiting Vietnam, but the top of the list was Hoi La Prison in Ha Noi. The museum honours the role women played in the fight against French colonialism. This was a welcome balm in a world where many women are erased from history.

If anyone told me that my late thirties would be me chasing a low resting heart rate, tracking my protein intake and quality sleep, I’d have laughed uncontrollably in their face. Yet, here we are.
