Having lived there for many years, you can live easily in many parts of France without a car and the cities are very walkable. Just one great thing about the country.

Ryan referring to women as Barbie is dismissive because of gender and how they look. I think you mean to protest her ideas, policies, and/or behaviour.
March 23, 2025 at 9:51 PM
I hear you. I just think we should attack her policies, words, and/or behaviour.

We can disagree with women without calling them Barbie
March 19, 2025 at 10:46 PM
I am not her fan but this is something some people do to women which is not cool. It’s misogynistic
March 15, 2025 at 8:42 PM
You can disagree with her without referring to her as Barbie. It’s perfectly normal to disagree with her policies or behaviour but referring to her as Barbie dismisses her bc of her appearance.
March 15, 2025 at 8:40 PM
With respect, I think you can disagree with a woman without referring to her appearance.

Plus, you know, I don’t worry about my children being shot when they leave the house in the morning

Also, some people may be neurodivergent and appear to have flat affect but that doesn’t mean they don’t have deep emotion

You can focus on a behaviour but not blame a disorder. It is also not true that autistic people lack empathy.

I’m not from the US so I’m not aware - do all children get school lunches? K-12? The French children get three courses with salads, leeks, often a cheese course etc. it’s quite something.

Many workers get more time at lunch than in the US and meal benefit tickets they can use at local restaurants to have a proper meal rather than eat at their desk
