Diptyque is a house that almost never misses for me. I like 90% of their stuff, and have big bottles of a few.

It's dangerous.

Thankfully, there are some houses I just don't vibe with at all, so that keeps me sane. (Amouage by god, doesn't stay on my skin!)

It reminds me of many of the things I like about Frederic Malle's Portrait of a Lady--there's a green, earthy undercut to the soft, roundness of the rose, that leans fresh w/mandarin but still keeps it modern. The sandalwood base combines to almost feel like patchouli.

Honestly some of the costumes and sets had a real Oz vibe

Yeah he’s good for sure

Maybe? Idk. The nuance was not evident.

Yes

It feels self-derivative? If that’s a thing?

The symbolism is so overhanded I feel secondhand embarrassment. But yeah, agree with you. Best parts for me were just Elordi doing the thing. (And pretty dresses but like also weirdly inconsistent… reminded me of Oz)

Fucking George Gordon Lord Byron and of course they stuck Ozymandias in there as if it wasn’t bad enough
