The split of the Nationals from the Coalition with Liberals is a new chapter in Australian politics.
This split is a healthy indication and preservation of sociological changes that are occurring in every nation in Western liberal democracies.

Congratulations to the northernmost member in the Commonwealth, Canada, for refusing to bow to Trump.
Canadians' commitment to the foundational values we Australians proudly share is both commendable and inspiring.

Canada, the northernmost member in the Commonwealth, is globally recognised for its multiculturalism and inclusive society.
Unfortunately, today it's under threat from Trump.
Good luck to @liberalca.bsky.social, the bastion of Canada's basic fundamentals.

It’s Election Day, Canada.

Like their Austrian sister party, German social democrats joined a 'grand coalition' with Christian Democrats.
Meanwhile, German Christian Democrats distanced themselves from the rightward-shift trend by joining a government with a centrist party instead of a radical one.

In both Australia and Canada, the leadership of the conservative parties has increasingly become apologetic toward Trump rather than standing firm against his tariffs. As a result, conservatives in both countries are facing difficulties in the polls.

Between 2021 and today, Elon Musk went from sharing memes about fringe cryptocurrencies and promoting clean energy technologies to spreading extremist conspiracy theories.

Can this stark transition perhaps be pinpointed to a single event – maybe even a single tweet?
